About VinoTrac

VinoTrac started with a simple mission: To make tracking the winemaking process easy. Our goal is to help you by creating an affordable solution to track the notes, measurements, photos, additions, equipment and everything else that goes into creating great wines.

This site grew from one amateur winemaker's desire for better winemaking tools. Ryan O'Donnell has been a wine lover since before he could legally drink the juice! That enthusiasm grew into obsession when in 2007 his father, Hugh, took the plunge and tried his own hand at making wine from Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. After that, Ryan realized it was vital to know exactly what was happening throughout the entire process, so he didn't repeat earlier mistakes.

Unimpressed with the available winemaking solutions at the time, Ryan set out to build a Web-based system that was not only easy to use, but also affordable to the average winemaker. The system needed to track every aspect of winemaking from turning vineyard grapes into a bottle of wine.

Right now, VinoTrac is in its early stages. but we have grand plans to make this a great tool and informative resource for all winemakers, big or small. We remain a small group of winos who love making wine, love to hear new ideas on how we can improve our Web site (and wines) and believe in having fun all the way through. Drop us a line anytime.
