I created a homemade vacuum racking setup. I see most people on YouTube allow their wine to splash into the receiving carboy. Is this good practice? I know this is a semi vacuum but wouldn't it still be an oxidation risk? It degasses but I would think this isn't the best idea.

Hey Dan, if you are worried about oxidation you can fill the carboy first with either argon, nitrogen or even carbon dioxide.Cheers!Eric
